宝香绑线肉骨茶 Bah Kut Teh
First read about 宝香绑线肉骨茶 in Sin Chew Daily when it opens its first outlet in Bandr Puchong Jaya, as its other outlets are located in Klang.
Wanting to try it but due to the advice from the O&G that Retna should stay away from the Chinese herbs or related food before the delivery.
Well, we had it today, after I came back from the FGA Leaders Conference 2009. Also, my mother-in-law is not with us this weekend, she has arranged to meet her old time friends in UK, in Kajang or some where in KL.
The food took less than 10 minutes to serve and what caught our attention was the pork knuckle which was tied with a strong. However, when served, the string has been removed.
However, the best seems to be the pork ribs, of which Retna said the meat has been marinated quite well. Both the sons like it too.
For me, I like the soup of which taste very heavy in Chinese herbs. But, when asked to refill, it only comes in the size of a Chinese tea cup. Must be kidding.
In case you might be asking where was Inez in all of this. She was right next to us on the Quinny Stroller 🙂

mmm yummy yummy in the tummy…. slurp… but somehow i have reservations with bahkutteh served without hot pot… how was it?

Hey David, the original BKT also comes in bowl only mah.
Both claypot and this also have it’s own moments.
But today’s meal was great 🙂

i think this the same BKT I have try in Bdr Baru Klang which my colleague took me for lunch and I keep on asking to re fill the soup..I ask my colleague why they give so little soup..and she told me this is the essence of the BKT lah not soup..lah. oh oh ….ha…ha..what a joke////
she should hv told me earlier becos it makes me so embrass mah….

Yah Liew, you are right 🙂 It is the same restaurant.
I spoke to many people from Klang including some of my brother’s clients few years who are also from Klang that BKT is for health, mainly of the herbs used in the soup.
Many restaurants in Klang are more than happy to refill the soup, except one which I can’t remember the name.
