But a scoffer does not listen to rebuke

A wise son heeds his father’s instruction, But a scoffer does not listen to rebuke. ~ Proverbs 13:1

How many of us had the above experience when we are being disciplined or disciplining?  This is not just about parent disciplining the child, but also superior to subordinate, mentor to  mentee etc.

Then look at the following and tell me what do you think.

He who spares his rod hates his son,
But he who loves him disciplines him promptly. ~ Proverbs 13:24

Discipling child is not easy.  It is painful to both the child and parent.

This morning, we had an experience of dealing with someone’s else child, a girl.  This girl so happened sitting next to our daughter in the toddler class.  First she kicked our daughter, then she punched her further, repeatedly.  Retna observed this and letting our daughter to deal with the situation herself.  Until we saw her doing it again and again on our daughter and the mother of the problem child did not do anything, Retna stepped in to disciplined the girl by telling her to stop.

The girl went into major drama and crying.  The blah blah blah.

Lesson is, don’t let our child mess other’s kid, same rule applies not to let others to mess with ours.  Thank you Retna for the saving.
