Glad to be alive (Praise the Lord!)

Road accident involving 5 cars, including ours on Saturday, June 16, 2012. A day before Father’s Day and we were heading to church that time.

In life, sometimes we forgot to thank God for a day that we are live.  Often we might have taken God for granted.  Although I am pretty discipline in reading His words and having my personal devotion on daily basis, but today’s incident of the road accident, I can only say and in fact I proclaimed to Retna, our children and helper that truly God is with us.  He had His angels protecting all of us.

We were driving to SIBKL for the evening service, which also the sermon on celebrating Father’s Day.  We had such a good time discussing what we were going to do after the service, like having dinner with my brother and sister in law and their children etc, also, discussion about LMFAO cute undies and many other things.  And while we were on the fly over bridge passing Paradigm Mall (the new mall, which does magic), a series of car hit us from the back, resulted our car to being forced to push or moved forward to lightly touch or collided with another Toyota Camry ahead of us.

The accident occurred at 5:30pm.

At that point of time, I could not see what was behind us, because the rear view was pretty much blocked by a Proton Iswara of which was pretty much lifted high up by a Perodua MyVi.  I moved the car forward a bit.   Because when I first opened the car door, I could smell the leaking fuel coming out from one of the car.  I saw the driver in Iswara climbed out from his car as soon as he could.  However, the MyVi driver and passenger, I could not see them coming out.

While I came out from the car to take more pictures, there were already so many so called, ‘call-men’ arrived at the scene, approaching and starting to remove the car keys from the vehicles involved in the accident.  My first instinct was to move out from the scene with our family safely as fast as possible, which after taking down all the photographs, we drove off.

From my previous experience dealing with ‘call-men’ and tow truck drivers, they are the same level as long-shark (aka ah-long), I choose to proceed to the police station ourselves, without having to argue with the rest of the drivers, of which we did that later at Traffic Police Petaling Jaya.

There are just so many things to give thanks to.  We are alive, praise Him.  We are safe, from any harm, other than Inez was in a shock, resulted vomiting there after, praise Him, we are alive.
