The Ayam Brand Community Care Charity Campaign 2012 was launched by Ayam Brand Chairman, Tunku Dato’ Mu’tamir bin Tunku Tan Sri Mohamed, at KidZania Kuala Lumpur, the award winning-edutainment center at the Curve NX, to enthusiastic response from more than 60 children from four Klang Valley Charity homes.
The Ayam Brand Nationwide Community Care Campaign is now in its fifth consecutive year supporting underprivileged children, the elderly as well as the mentally and physically disabled through contributions of its wide range of healthy, convenient, no added preservative and no added MSG canned food products.
Ayam Brand added three more charity organization to this year’s initiative to benefit 43 charity homes across ten regions in West and East Malaysia, supporting more than 2,000 people with 2 months nutritious meals.
Four homes in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor received support from Ayam Brand at the programme’s finale, with children from the participating homes enjoying the opportunity to try out many different future careers at KidZania.
Representatives from Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (RACTAR), Pusat Jagaan Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Perlindungan Nur Kasih, Pusat Jagaan Kanak-kanak Harapan and Pusat Jagaan Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Triniti Komuniti Selangor were also present to receive products comprising of Ayam Brand sardines, tuna, baked beans, and mackerel among others – sufficient for nutritious daily meals at the homes for two months.
This yearly campaign is an integral part of Ayam Brand’s Corporate Responsibility program that has since its inception in 2008 benefitted more than 9,000 people from 158 charity organizations by providing them with healthy and convenient meals.
For the finale, famed local Celebrity Chef, Chef Anis Nabilah was also present to give a healthy and simple hands-on cooking lesson using Ayam Brand products to teams of children from the charity homes.
