Blessed Christmas

We have Ray, Kumari, Roisin from UK visiting us this year.  My in-laws have not been back here for 4 years, time flies.  Glad to meet them again.  They are back to attend Anitha’s wedding reception on the coming weekend.

We took them to Tanjung Harapan, Port Klang for seafood dinner before the Christmas, as they will be spending Christmas in Melaka.  The food was great, recommended by our client.  Most especially craving for the meaty crab cooked in butter gravy.  Yep fattening, and yet tasty.  The only drawback for the yummy seafood – distant from our home to head there, about 45mins.  Almost like reaching Kuala Selangor.

We also had really good time with friends with dinner hosted at our home as well as lunch at Derrick’s lovely home.

Started with wonderfully acclaimed fish head curry by ZK, and later we had special Penang family recipe Nasi Lemak made by Derrick’s mom and mom-in-law on the Christmas day.  Must praised Derrick and his family for the wonderful meals prepared for all of us.  From what I gathered, his mom made the sambal chilli paste and his mom-in-law made the rice.  His sister made some Kerabu Pakis, which I had for the first time, really healthy dish and tasted good.

We spent so much time talking about insect photography, fishing and of course cycling.  I really learn so much from Derrick’s neighbour, Mr. Lee whom shared his experience on fishing gladly.  He also loves cycling, just like Derrick.

Derrick also portrays a wonderful Tok Kampung characteristics, which I need to learn from him how he works so well with all his neighbours.  Something which I think the current neighbourhood seriously lacking.

Living in harmony, caring for one another, should be the theme for 2013 and beyond.
