Little surprise that must thank God for

Sent our car to NAZA Citroen for service today.

There is no pedestrian walk way in most road. Even in a neighbourhood. Local authority must have thought no one walks anymore.

Took the technicians more than 2.5 hours to inform that one of the nuts malfunction and can not fix the car in time.  Well, I was there for 2.5 hours or more, other than working, was pretty much still working, on the phone with clients, partners, media etc.

Decided to take a short break to walk to Holiday Inn’s Fu Rin for Sashimi, really and madly in love with Sashimi after recent trip to Kyoto.

Took the short cut by walking through DRB-HICOM car park, also safety concern.  The main road leading to Holiday Inn has no shoulder road, not to mention pedestrian walkway.  Also, nice spot to rob anyone, really quiet.  Sexual assault etc, also possible.

So walked pass the smoking zone (terrible smell, of course.  Good that DRB-HICOM has such designated area, which is away from the main building.  My guess is that the owner of the company is not a smoker), and then I smelled really nice chicken and fish cooking, and at that time only I realised when DRB-HICOM staff cafe is.  Walked in and asked whether non-DRB-HICOM staff can buy the food here.  The nice makcik told me, “Boleh.  Ambil saja, lepas tu bayar sini.”  So I did.

The very nice aunt also shown me the special cooking today – Salmon Masak Minyak.  That caught my immediate attention.  I took a bit of that, together with squid, potatoes and an egg.  The whole meal was RM7.50, together with an ice tea.  I guess if I have been to Fu Rin, the meal would be 10 times more.

Praise the Lord, for the small surprise and great saving.

Sometimes, let our eyes, ears and nose open, so not to miss what God has in store for us.

Amen?
