The first announcement of Apple Watch was last year, during the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus launch.
While the official sale only kicked in this year, so I have been waiting to get one, however, the delivery date took some months, seriously, no joke.
Well, good news is, the wait is over!
I bought the unit through my friend in Brisbane, he received the watch in May, but I only got it yesterday as he only came back in July. Thanks Tan, a special shout out to you for the great assistance 🙂
So the model I have is the Apple Watch Sport 42mm. in space grey, black strap.
After some learning and observation, black is the easiest to match with my outfit – be it casual, relax or formal, or even seriously dress-ly outfits.
Will let the pictures do some talking for now.
There are apps you need to install on both the iPhone as well as the watch.
You can’t operate the watch as stand alone without the iPhone as the companion.
Will share more on the screen shots of the watch notifications in some other blog entries.
There is no Facebook app at the moment, so could only receive notifications but not to response nor update.
For Twitter, Instagram, Evernote, Flipboard and even BusinessWeek, really nice apps on the Watch that I could check the status, updates etc.
I have tried the hands free, but I think it would be better if it has the camera for the FaceTime.
@retnavijayan called me on FaceTime and her first response, “Where are you? You mean this watch you paid for does not do FaceTime? OMG, fails.”
Yep, frustrating right?
