A happy Retna.  She walked into the Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA), the first thing she saw and got really excited – Niki de Saint Phalle’s Black Beauty Nana Series, available in Perth.

Amazing.

She told me, “It is so exciting and so happy to see one of Niki’s work in person.  I have read and seen many in the internet, magazines, seeing one of his work, a great opportunity of a life time.”

Our kind of family holiday, lots of learning and lots of exploring.  We explored the Perth CBD, and its arts around.

We walked into The Musuem of Western Australia which was under heavy renovation, until 2020, and glad that we walked a bit further to the AGWA, which we really enjoyed ourselves, admiring the great work of arts collected in this place.

I forgot what is the name of the work, it is something to do with the mother and something together

Not all the artwork could be photographed and it has many security personnel on stand by, to prevent destruction of the exhibits here.

Some of them on loan and some acquired by the gallery.

I also like Graham Miller’s portraits.
