How to spend weekend(s)

Not every weekend can be wonderful.  However when we can, we put the effort to make it wonderful and great.  Anyway, often it is not really about putting effort, it is the mindset to be together as family.

Last weekend, was great.  We had Peter and Yvonne over to our weekend home.

We are now officially neighbour in Seri Kembangan.  Our place is like less than few kms away from theirs.

Carrom fellowship with Peter, the twins were finding hard to beat him. Good to have expert in the field to learn from each other. Inez was later joined the carrom as she needed to assemble the 'joint' games.

They took us to a Chinese restaurant which we have yet to try – Wong Loy.

The food was great and the serving size was, simply huge.  But I guess the twins, after a few hours at the pool, they could finish most of the dishes without pushing themselves hard.

The one dish I like the most at this restaurant – Snapper in 2 seasons, cooked in Thai style and the other half of the snapper in deep fried.  Crunchy dish if you love fish.  The serving time is short.  So, a good thing.

We gathered at our weekend home later for some red wine, which I think was brought back by my brother in law whom visited Europe.  It was from Italy, 2009.  I seldom drink, but we finished the bottle.  It was that good!

Both Yvonne and Retna were having the manicure session with some stunning drawing skills by Retna on Yvonne nails.

Peter and the rest of us were playing the carrom.  We now know who will call for carrom in future ha ha.

It is good to meet both of them again after some years.

Catch up again soon.
