I went with my colleague to Kota Bharu for a short day trip, working on a media event for Ayam Brand.  The annual CSR event is now in its 9th year, and we are glad the recipients in East Coast are expecting us with wide open arms.

Again, with a setup which needed space and infrastructure to accommodate a group of participants, we did not do the event in a charity home, but at a cafe or restaurant instead.

Good to meet most of the recipients in person, although we have been communicated over phone calls, and email for some months.

The participants, really enjoying themselves learning from the Ayam Brand team as well as receiving the products which would last the home for more than 2 months for 130 children in East Coast.

A fun-filled hands-on event was held in Kota Bharu for children from participating charity homes; Rumah Anak Yatim Salimah, Pusat Asrama PERKAYA Besut, Rumah Tunas Harapan Pakatan Kasih, Mentally Disabled Children Centre Kuala Terrengganu and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Kelantan (PEKA YATIM).

The campaign encourages children to be independent as well as encouraging them to make informed food choices that are nutritionally balanced. It also serves to introduce foods from other cultures and cuisines for greater exposure.
