Since its inception, The Giant Panda Complex, we have heard and read so much about the place and of course the pandas, we have never been there, ourselves. Though one of aboutcom client is the main sponsor of this whole initiative.
However, today I took Inez to visit the National Zoo, and of course we need to visit the Giant Panda Complex, which housed Fu Wa, Feng Yi, and their baby, Nuan Nuan.
The complex is really well built, with the extensive funds poured in the place, one would expect it to be the world class. It is really cooling to be in the complex, as compares to the humid weather outside.
Each visitor is allowed to stay in the complex for 20 minutes. However, I noticed most of the visitors came in and left in less than 5 minutes. Most of them came in to take pictures, selfie included, and then left. I spent some time reading the materials inside the complex, which most of them are prepared by our dear friend – Chet Chin, who is also the adopted mother of the pandas.
I noticed Fu Wah was walking around, kind of like entertaining the visitors, and I spotted the caretakers have already placed the food around his compound, which I then shared these findings with Inez. Guess what, many parents then stayed back and told their kids about these findings. Honestly, I found this information by surprise, not that I came prepared.
It was really good to see Fu Wah to move about, and Nuan Nuan busy enjoying his bamboo snacks. Feng Yi was asleep while we were there.
I think the best time to visit pandas is actually now. It is less rush and you could really enjoy the whole experience and process of learning about the animals.
