東京へようこそ

The very happy Japanese patrons at the ramen restaurant offered to take this picture of us, in fact the first family portrait in Tokyo. Love the angle, she was half drunk, so kind of nature.

The last time Retna and I were in Tokyo was in 2013, when we came to experience Japan for the first time.  I came to Nagoya and Kyoto in 2014 for work.

While I really love Japan, I could not find enough reason to come back.  However, since Taipei, Hong Kong were not on the interest of the children, and we took them to Rome, and told them so much about Japan experience, they asked us, let’s do Japan.

We arrived at Tokyo after a few movies that I watched and had really good laugh during the flight, until the twins told me, I have to lower my laugh.

Elijah, on the night of his birthday, we arrived in Tokyo

November was autumn still in Japan.  The weather could be cold, but bearable, with enough clothing and right gears.

It is challenging when it rained, however, could always buy umbrella from 7-11, Family Mart or Lawson.

Ariel and Inez, enjoying themselves while their first trip to Japan began with Tokyo.

After we arrived at the Tokyo home, we asked around for places to eat, since we were hungry for some Japanese food, especially ramen.

With a short walk from the house, we found a place to have ramen.

Met 4 Japanese whom just finished work, let’s had some food and drink before heading home.  They asked where we are from, so Malaysia.  One of them greeted us, “Sawadeekap!”

We Sawadeekap in return and informed him politely that was Thai greeting.  Malaysia would be Salam Sejahtera.  Anyway, after attending a recent tourist briefing, Thailand is the main destination in the world for tourist, no wonder Japanese would know Thai instead of whatever in Malaysia.
