It’s really not that difficult to make a meal for the whole family at home. Well, it is even easier when you have a helper around.  However, the meals that we have been making at home required very little or almost none assistance from our helper.  Perhaps to help us on the cleaning there after. [...]

Have been wanting to visit the older part of Rawang for some time, actually as long as my mother has moved there with my brother. Never had the chance, mainly my brother constantly told me that the direction heading there was jam, under construction etc. Well, I managed to convinced him to show us the [...]

An old restaurant that has been around since 1965, my brother in law brought the whole families for Diwali lunch with our mother at Kukup, Johor. We have been here before, many years ago, I do not remember the taste of the place, but I do remember that the restaurant allows drive through or drive [...]

We took a rather slow and relaxing drive from KL to Johor, decided not to rush, actually there is no reason to rush, since we are on holidays with our family. The overall journey took us more than 6.5 hours to reach Johor Bahru.  Not entirely the heavy traffic on the North-South Highway (PLUS), but [...]

Retna has been telling me about this place, and we have relied on Waze for the location, as well as Apple Maps, some how we could not find the exact location Restoran Mei Yen, which is well known for its Hokkien Mee (dark soya sauce, not the prawn mee like in Penang) as well as [...]

When Zafuan and ZK proposed a ride along LEKAS Highway after our Tour de KL [Raya Edition], I immediately agreed without much consideration.  Both of them are really nice and easy going couple.  Also, I always enjoy the ride with Redza, so that would be a great time to ride together again, perhaps this time [...]

Last weekend was rather busy, but we still got to spend a lot of time with our children.  Started with duathlon series, then auditions for the sons, church, PSLEM’s Walk-A-Payung, friend’s 50th anniversary, resident association committee meeting.  I missed the time I could indulge myself with a nice massage or simply, sleep.  Anyway, all glory [...]

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it, Proverbs 22:6. The context in Proverbs is child, not anyone.  Specifically a child.  It is utmost vital to train a child when he or she is young.  I remember a printing course sharing that shared, [...]

A short family gathering at Jade Pot over dim sum. Family time was fun. The food is very subjective. I find Clan Dim Sum at Bandar Puteri is probably our favorite still. But Jade Pot offers better atmosphere. Wait till you look at the pictures of the place. Stay tune, after the jump.

Had it many times in Kuala Lumpur as well as in Petaling Jaya, was recommended by the tour manager to try it as Takoyaki is very popular in Osaka, Japan. For 8 pieces the selling price is 500 Yen. I like the taste of this snack, as it gives you some kind of warm feeling [...]

Visited the Puchong Pasar Malam on Sunday.  For about a month now that we have seen the woman with a small child begging for money.  The child, could be female seems to have been heavily dosed with drugs.  The woman does not seems to be a Malaysian, not even an Indonesian, not sure what nationality [...]

Seafood, many likes it, some can’t have or too much of it, as it could cause skin allergy. However, I like seafood since I was young, especially fish.  More so, steamed fish.  But I am the type that would eat fish excessively, I am more like a person who is concerned about the balance diet. [...]

Last night was the third time I had meals at Sek Yuen, Pudu.  Second for Retna and sons, first time for Inez and our helper. We went with the chef recommendation last night.  Although I found one of the recommendation being too simple or uninspiring – sweet and sour pork.  However, the dish turned out [...]

Pudu was the bus interchange venue for me when I was in secondary school.  Pudu Plaza was the hang out place for me after Taekwondo class on Saturday.  Because we have a buddy whose parent was selling pork noodle in the hawker centre (which long gone now), before we placed ourselves in the video games [...]

The night before they were born, Retna and I had some really nice porridge in Taman Desa (that was where we settled after married).  Retna felt the sons were on their way.  She told this which I remember very well, “Take me to the very nice porridge in Taman Danau Desa.  I want to eat [...]

In preparing for the trip to Johor Bahru, besides getting ourselves the right outfits, we planned our journey so won’t be caught in the heavy traffic.  Thank God that with our Citroen Grand C4 Picasso, it does the job quiet well.  We went through the states smoothly with wonderful long distance drive. Just that some [...]
