Since the incident of Gates-Crowley happened beginning of the month, which caused some racial tension in America, it seems to come a good ending, with help of good PR.

According to AP, President Barack Obama is hailing his meeting with professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. and policeman James Crowley as a “friendly, thoughtful conversation.”

While I was watching Anderson Copper earlier, I noticed what good PR could possibly do to an incident like this, or even to the country.  I always impressed with certain part of police department that could possibly have enough time to have a quick media training for the police officer, as Sgt James Crowley was certainly has been prepared by PR practitioner to handle tough questions asked by journalists, especially the questions come in different form, just like machine guns.

It is clear that the statement was drafted by the police department was probably by a PR practitioner in order to maintain the reputation of the police department.  The second questions answered was focusing on the how to let go the past, and looking to the future.

Good thing is that Sgt James Crowley still could made some jokes.
