Children from the Salvation Army Boys Home
Yesterday was the sixth leg for Ayam Brand’s Nationwide Community Care Campaign, took place in The Salvation Army Boys Home in Tambun, Ipoh. The home located not too far after the highway exit of Tambun, is a very nice and comfortable area. The home is blessed with the wind blows all the time. Besides that, we have mountains to admire.
It was also fun to meet Ayam Brand’s local team in Ipoh. So fast, it has been a year.
Although Ipoh is one of my parent’s home town, but we spent more time in Penang than here. However, one dish that I remember very well is the Hor-Hee, which is a combination of noodle served with assorted Yong Tau Fu, alike. The price of food in Ipoh is reasonable, in fact cheaper than Klang Valley. However the beverage is slightly on the higher side.
After the Ayam Brand’s campaign, we went for some media visit before heading for dinner with my buddy, formerly Brother International product and marketing manager, Kevin Theng.
The dinner was, a lot of food. KT was too generous to our belly and wanted to fill it to the maximum. However, we managed to finish some of the food before sending him back to his home.
We left Ipoh around 7:30pm and reaching home about 9:30pm. Two hours journey, not too bad. Enjoyed the work and fellowship.
