Wonder how often one been greeted with “Have a good weekend” and “Have a great weekend”. Sometimes, one also tend to ask, “How are you going to spend your weekend?” or “How was your weekend?”

Well, since I can’t remember when, we seldom spent the weekend without things lined up. We already had two BBQ weekends, there is one more coming, dinner or lunch with friends, and, weddings to attend.

Besides enjoying the fellowship and meetings with friends, we find it could be hard to sacrifice the time with children on these line ups. However, to view it positively, we used these activities as a time to train and teach the children the experience of socialising.

Last night dinner with Ahmad Azrai or better known him as Roy (my good friend from his time in Malay Mail), allowed me to see the opportunity to teach our sons the true meaning of socialising. I think Retna and I might not have done too much of that when Ariel and Elijah were below 5. Well, I think we should have. But thanks to Roy for the great teaching on greetings and eye contacts.

Got to go, we have a church home fellowship leaders lunch fellowship with the elder shortly.

Even if you have not done anything in your weekend, just chill and relax. Sometimes just like what Retna would have told me, “We don’t have to do anything.”
