In less than 10 days, the 1st SOAP [scripture, observation, application and prayer journal started by Senior Pastor Wayne Cordeiro, Hawaii] of Matthew journal would be coming to an end.
The journal takes about 84 days to complete of which one read the scripture according to the guide provided. Write down one verse that speaks the most at that point of time and then put down the observation of the particular verse. Continue with how one can apply in the current situation or at that particular moment. Finally close the journal with a word of prayer.
Most of the home fellowship members have greatly benefited from this journal experience as most of the time we tend to read and pray, that was it. However, this journal requires one to write it down and then to reflect upon. Many lives have been touched and transformed over these 84 days.
The 2nd SOAP will begin with the Book of Acts in the month of May.
Fredy and I are also doing the SOAP journal online so to spread God’s words virtually, and yet powerful. However, both of us are trying to maintain the site more regularly but due to Fredy’s busy traveling schedule, he will be sharing more in the coming July.
