Archives for “Ariel”

This morning devotion, I read Proverbs 31.  It has The Wife of Noble Character.  While I was reading all the characters, I think upon my dear wife – Retna Vijayan.  God has given me a wife with so many things as described in the Proverbs. I shall take this blog entry to thank Retna for [...]

Our mother came back from Sri Lanka yesterday after a ten days sort fo backpacking, while attending her relative children wedding held in Columbo.  The wedding reception was attended some 800 guests from around the world. According to mum, the transportation and accommodation were rather expensive in Sri Lanka, especially Columbo, so they stayed in [...]

今天是振強一天上羽球課。身為父母們也感到一些安慰因為他很喜歡學習。希望他能繼續的學打羽,而不會是三分鐘熱度。 Today is the first day Ariel enrolled himself into the badminton training.  Since he has the interest to learn, we have agreed to buy him a new racquet as well as a spare racquet that he could practice with his brother at home. We pray that he would focus well in his training and [...]

My mother and brother kept this print ad appeared on StarBiz in 2001 – an ad by UOB on its PayOnline service.  I was one of the talent, together with Gary, later became very popular with 8TV launch. This ad was done in the creative director’s home in Petaling Jaya.  The TVC was done in [...]

Wonder how often one been greeted with “Have a good weekend” and “Have a great weekend”. Sometimes, one also tend to ask, “How are you going to spend your weekend?” or “How was your weekend?” Well, since I can’t remember when, we seldom spent the weekend without things lined up. We already had two BBQ [...]

Wanting to write this blog entry for some days now – about moving forward or progressing in life takes initiative, without that, one could possibly be stand still, or better known as status quo. Just to share with you our recent experience about making a tough decision concerning our sons.

Recently we have a new member in the family, please say hi to ‘Not Me’. We did not know this new member of the family until our two sons keep saying, “Not Me”.  It is like ‘Not Me’ this, ‘Not Me’ that whenever we asked who has taken the biscuits without putting it back.  Clothes [...]

While waiting with the sons for the transporter to arrive, decided to style the sons hair a bit. After I have done with Ariel’s hair, he told me he looks Jason Yeoh aka Ah Xian, a host of Taste with Ah Xian. Both Elijah and Ariel are the fans of Asian Food Channel, especially during [...]

After seeing many dropped dead especially at young age, my prayer for this year birthday would be health sustaining until perhaps I have a chance to see our children married, have kids, and if it is not too much, allowing me to fetch the kids from school. My father passed on at the age of [...]

Both Elijah and Ariel (our twin sons) were dedicated when they were below one year old.  After close to eight years of being dedicated, they joined their sister, Inez dedication today as the official photographers.  Today was exceedingly difficult to find any car park around the church vicinity, even though many home fellowship leaders are [...]

Passing by Peavehaven several times while heading to Genting Highland, until yesterday, we have yet to enter into a huge prayer sanctuary setup by Full Gospel Assembly in 1993.  The venue consists of thirty plus family rooms and dormitory for male and female, in total of above 600 capacity at any one time. Retna, myself, the children [...]

“Spend less time that does not concern family.  When you are on the hospital bed, it would be your spouse and children that will be around you,” said Pastor Dorai, in the special sharing with parents prior to the babies’ dedication. One of the interesting sharing by Pastor Dorai includes – do not go for [...]

It was the first experience for Elijah and Ariel on the Penang ferry service.  The service started in 1920, with 90 years of heritage, we were at first hesitant to use the service, mainly of the long waiting line.  However, for the children first experience, we choose to wait. The ride took less than 10 [...]

The last blog entry about Inez was in April and May. While taking the picture on the right few days ago, I noticed her eye lashes have grown to have the shape like the two brothers.  She began to look more like, a baby girl. We have often been asked at church, restaurant, shopping mall [...]

After a challenging head start of the year, and much pain and suffering that sons have to go through in their previous school, may God receives all glory, they are settling well in their current school.  More so, they are doing much better academically compares to the previous school.

Last year, we don not remember hearing from the sons that they wanted to bring gifts to their teachers during the teachers’ day.  But I think they did, especially the wrapping was done by either Retna or I. However, with the changed of new school (obviously from their previous school), they seems to like their [...]

Talking to client while on the way to Ipoh, meeting buddy KT during dinner, meeting chef friend and meeting new leadership for our beloved client, it opens new horizon of lives and business opportunities of which Retna and I might not have reaslised, what we have missed. During the busy period, we seldom had the [...]

Since it would be hard to push the two sons to revise their school work in time with the school semester examination, decided to task them to help out parents in arranging and cleaning the newspaper coverage room a bit. Learning from Koki Ando, whom his dad Momofuku Ando had him on board for the business [...]

Last night, we ate out, as mother has gone back for break in Rawang.  So no home cook food until either mom comes back or Retna and I decided to cook. During the dinner, we played car alphabet games – combination of car manufacturers and model names.  For example, A would be Audi, Altis etc. [...]

Knife Out, track from Brad Mehldau Trio’s Day is Done released in 2008.  My introduction to jazz was by my brother who was with Malaysia Airline that time brought back few CDs that he collected while traveling with MAS.  These album were mainly the collection of best jazz, without any one in particular.  However, my [...]

Soon, our daughter Inez will be turning six months, in another six months, she would be one year old. Inez has grown and learn various things, from recognizing her parents, playing with her brothers to learning to communicate, we could only praise God for He has been good to Inez in blessing her to be able to [...]

A rather interesting and exciting weekend, as Retna and I are filled with lots of work to be completed.  While we are glad that God has blessed us with much projects and clients, as well as prospective clients, we know that He will not give what we could not handle.  It is also exciting for [...]

Attended Pastor Michael Koh’s “Thriving in 2010” seminar with Elijah and Ariel last night. It was the first seminar by Pastor Michael that we are attending, but attended many of his sermons on Sundays as well as home fellowship leaders meetings.  He is a charismatic pastor, I supposed it is not influenced by Obama’s era, [...]

An interesting joke told by Elijah this morning. In the recent meeting between President Obama and Dalai Lama. Dalai Lama told President Obama that he is hungry.  President Obama replied, “Lunch is on me.” Dalai Lama said, “I want to eat something because I am hungry.” “Lunch is still on me,” President Obama replied. Dalai [...]

It is the first time Inez is infected with flu, that leads to fever.  She cried for hours last night and we brought her to Sunway Medical Centre, when she had difficulty in breathing, due to the nose block.  While waiting for a long time at Sunway Medical Centre to be attended, we prayed that [...]
