• Good to Finish the Unfinished Business, Conquering the Bukit Tinggi

I was there in 2012, but did not complete it. A good thing about cycling is that, I have friends who will encourage me to complete the unfinished business – Dave and Adrian, yep, talking about you. I am glad I received a reminder from Dave a few days before the actual ride, as I have completely forgotten about the ride, all planned for the hosted lunch and good time with @MyMobileFest buddies. Well, gotta take care of business.

  • Good to be on the heart of KL cycling again

Registered as early as possible for the OCBC Cycle Malaysia Challenge, and got to enjoy the RM10 discount, which later I found out that OCBC customers got to enjoy the 20% when payment made with either the credit card or online transfer.  Well, lesson learn. So after have not ride for some time in longer distance like 48km, I took the challenge to ride it.  And praise the Lord, I did it.  In the process of after 32km, the right leg began to start with minor cramp, which then extended to the entire right leg until my pelvis.  I stopped twice to have the spray, which did not help much.…

  • Waking up, 3 times

It’s terrible to wake up really early on Saturday.  I was planning to sleep at least until 7am.  However, I woke up at 1:30am to turn off the TV where our twins left it on.  Then 3am, woken by Inez as she had a nightmare about some female handbags.

  • Many things I learn about riding

I am pretty determined.  I do not change my mind, unless drastic change in the situation, environment etc. Just like when I find I could no longer getting along with someone in the company, I get rid of the person.  When I could no longer work nor find the person could contribute on volunteering groups I involved in, I will try my best to get rid of the person.  Because often this people could be potential pest or disease that would snowball to something bigger, most times, bigger problems. Many things I learn (I am sure by the time you read about this blog, I share most of them, not…

  • Trying Rudy Project [I love it!]

I am a big fan of technology. Many of my family members and friends would concur that.  If they do not, maybe they think I am big fan of food, which is also true.

  • Finally I Upgraded My Cycling Wheels

I think my tire went flat just way too often even it did not hit any nail. The worst experience that I had with flat tire, 3 times in a night, when I ran of spare tubes. Few diagnosis with that flat tube incident, ‘snake bite’ when the pressure of the tube dropped tremendously during pedalling on high speed, loose spokes after pro-longed usage, and all these have got me thinking for sometime for getting a new set of wheels, which I did not, due to high costs. Last Saturday, I had a really good solo ride on KESAS Highway, although my back wheel constantly went flat, I think it…

  • It was Hallelujah, and then Hallelujah, Tears

My legs cramped several times especially during the second killer climb of Balik Pulau, but we were delighted to smell the durian throughout the climb.  Just when I thought the climb was finally over, I overlooked that reaching Tanjung Bungah there was some hilly curves, with high traffic (cars, bicycles), I got my next leg cramped once we came out of Batu Ferringgi.  I took a 5minutes rest at a bus stop, which then many other cyclists stopped as well.  There was another 10km to head back to Esplanade Penang, which was the starting and finishing line for Campaign For A Lane, 4th edition, organised by G Club, a cycling…
