• Just Grab My Ass

I shared my experience on Grab & Uber about 2 months back.  Actually I am not a fan of both. If I can, I would walk or drive. So I went on Grab this afternoon, since Retna already at the meeting place, I opted to take public ride so no need to drive 2 cars there. Requested Uber at first, but could not find the ride, after taking 3 minutes, I think I would best get a ride from Grab, which then I switched over. Lo and behold, the Grab driver picked up my ride request and came in like 5 minutes.  Quite efficient.  Was impressed. The Grab app prompted,…

  • When you shop online, beware of these things

I was buying an outdoor water filter. I looked around physically and online, shortlisted to Coway Bamboo and 3M AP902. While I like 3M products (disclaimer, not all of them), as I have 3M Crystalline tint for our beloved Peugeot (I find it not as great, in fact I dislike it compares what we got on our DS5, which is also another American brand, no free advertisement, as we paid in full for that), scotch tape (always on my desk, I do not use any other brand), sticky note (again, always on my desk), scotch brite (yep, handy in the kitchen) as well as Scotch hangers (I used it to…

  • Seemless Experiences

I agree that there is no way we could replace human touch. There is way how we could screw the human being, by being human being. When I asked the chatbot on Facebook, Airmail for troubleshooting, I always get replies.  In fact the machine learning already kind of advance (ok this is not new), that the questions I asked, the chatbot could already find the closest responses to assist.  May not be the most accurate, but there are some helps. I ordered a Grab today, for me to head to the NAZA Euro service centre to collect the beloved DS5 (routine service).  Got the driver (yay), then he cancelled the…

  • Cab Firm, Uber-ly

I just learn that the drivers in the Uber app would also rate the passengers, instead of just one way kind of rating system.  I think it is only fair should the drivers only got to know who they would be fetching, sending to. Should the passenger is one that causing massive issue with most ride, then driver could choose not to pick up the job. I remember using Uber when in Hong Kong, which I enjoyed very much with the services there, more so, when a Tesla turned up to fetch the passengers.  It seems very common in Hong Kong where Uber drivers choose electric cars for the business.…

  • When uber-grab-disrupted

Uber is originally a German word, means denoting an outstanding or supreme example of someone, or something.  For example, an uber-cool bar, self proclaimed uber-bitch. Grab, means grasp or seize suddenly and roughly. So we could use uber-grab, would means supremely sudden to rough. As a consumer, I remember clients asking me, you sure about taking Uber or Grab to airport, not the taxi?  My answer is always a firmly yes.  They acknowledge when we submitted our claims using Uber or Grab. Until the most recent family trip to land of the Rising Sun, I was convicted when a night before the flight, I booked an Uber XL, then we…

  • My Uber Experience

I started using Uber service on Sep 6, 2014.  I took the ride service when I was coming back from Citroen Service Centre at Glenmarie.  Since then I have pretty much using Uber, more than Grab.  I believe in taking ride in a comfort of a family ride, or similar. Comfort, does not refer to business class nor luxury car rides.  I mean the comfort of a driver who would drive in the manner that he is driving his loved ones, family members, friends to places. Or I think I may be wrong in my own perception about Uber and Grab rides. About 20% of the Uber and Grab rides…
