• Ciao ‘n Bonjour

it is hard to say goodbye to our beloved Citroen Grand C4 Picasso, which has been with us since 2009.  Despite my rants on Brooklands Motors and then NAZA, it is great car that requires serious tender loving care by people who cares, beyond simply following procedures. We found a genuine and happy Citroen enthusiast and the car is sold.

  • Lovely, Cute Citroën C4

It’s the time of the year thingy – our beloved Citroën Grand C4 Picasso was due for its major service.  Changing and replacing some of the parts, making sure the drive will continue to be enjoyable from the first day when we have our Citroën. Normally I would be waiting at Brooklands Motors for the car to be ready.  Since the Brooklands Motors technical suggested that the car would take longer than a day to have it serviced as well as testing. Since I have meetings in town, I asked the technical whether they could give me a lift, as they normally do.  I suppose they were having a busy period and…

  • Finally had the car windows, screens, moon roof etc tinted

Been thinking about having our beloved Citroen Grand C4 Picasso windows, screens, moon roof etc tinted for some times.  Finally decided to do it, after a short trip to Johor Bahru end of last month.  While I was driving, my colleague commented that the car lets in a lot of sunlight, then I heard one said that would be getting darker.  Then I was like, “Darn, me too.  Getting darker, if not skin red (that is how one got burn under too much exposure to sun).”  So, serious finding of windows tint hunt began. Called few brands – V-Cool, Llumar, 3M, Air Cool and Cool World.  V-Cool was way too…

  • (No way this is an Ad) Citroen Grand C4 Picasso

Many have seen the advertisement (on your right) in NST Car Bikes and Trucks as well as Oriental Daily, and many have contacted me through my blog asking whether I have problems with the cars before they are thinking about it.  You came to the right place, this blog entry is for you. First of all, this is a great car.  We love it when first seen it and test-drive the car twice in different conditions before we made the booking.  It is also a great car as it serves us well for our out of town work as well as family get away – to the north and south. …

  • While We Love Our Car, We Dislike How It Has Been Treated Here

While communicating with Brooklands Motors personnel, once again we have been shocked by the way they have miscommunicated important information to the buyers, like us. The details on discussion between us and the distributor are still on going, so will not be able to share more at this moment. It is a great car with lots of great and useful features in safety, comfort as well as fuel consumption, but the local distributor service remains otherwise. After reading this article in TIME, I pray God will make me another Victor Muller.

  • What Others Do with Their Citroën Grand C4 Picasso

It is always interesting to find out what others do with their Citroën Grand C4 Picasso, although I encountered first electronic caused problem last Monday, but overall it has been a pretty useful and good car for the family as well as for work. Last Monday, the Bluetooth connection decided to go freeze or hang for half a day resulted no handsfree conversation as well as music in the car.  But, Brooklands Motors’ Pierre reset the unit by removing the battery connection.  That solved the problem, but awaiting for the actual firmware update to resolve this once and for all. For Philip Johnston in Scotland, he enjoys driving his Grand…

  • Citroën to Ipoh

Our first long distance trip with our Citroën Grand C4 Picasso was Melaka and yesterday we tried it with another long distance drive, Ipoh. About three adults in the car, the entire drive was pleasant and quiet, however can hear some road noise when approaching 150km/h.  Other than that, the drive and ride have been quiet smooth. Tried Caltex Techron Gold but feel the fuel consumption to be higher than Shell Super.  The power pick up with Techron Gold is about the same as Super. Overtaking of vehicles on the highway was easy. One thing I noticed, passengers and myself did not feel too tired after 420km of to and…

  • Gifts from Citroën-Brooklands Motors (MIC)

While waiting for the family ride to be serviced for the first 1,000km, the sales manager handed me a goodie bag of which the salesperson who handled our sales said some freebies to be handed to all new customer.  Checked the bag, it has a Citroën cap (which Ariel likes it as he said he looks like Sebastian Loeb), a miniature Citroën Grand C4 Picasso and Citroën key chain (Elijah likes it to be on his school bag, I wonder why). I have yet to open the miniature Citroën Grand C4 Picasso to check if it is Made in China (MIC), but for sure the key chain is MIC.
