• Hey Siri

“Hey Siri, what’s the weather today?” Daily, I am pretty sure Siri has been asked on that million of times.  Also if Siri would have sex with the person, as well as where to find the latest joint for weed. It is really a learning stage for the artificial intelligent which was first introduced by Apple in 2011, during its famous World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC), which I used to tune in to watch the latest development.  I could watch the podcast or YouTube later, or best still, the summarised version on some of the technology blogs or news sites. Siri is a spin-off from a project originally developed by…

  • iPad Pro Screen Shuttered, What You Should Know, If You Have One

Being a really nice father, I passed my iPad Pro (10.5) to our daughter on Sunday evening, while I was doing the house chores.  She will use it to watch kids program on Netflix, which we have setup an account for her. So, she watched something, so excited, dropped it, and the screen shuttered, even I had a glass protector on. Well, as you can see from the picture, it is pretty bad. I contacted Apple Care, was told it is not covered under the warranty.  So was quoted RM2,600 for the replacement.  Being a China man, I opted to search around where I could have the screen changed.  Got…

  • Crashed!

While I love the iOS, especially the iPad Mini with RD, I hate the iOS7.  OK, do not despise nor hate me as I have said I love the new iOS. The iOS 7.0.4 seems to crash on iPad. See the video which I have posted, you would sense and understand my frustration. The only way not to get frustrated about this – not to use the iPad until Apple fixes this.

  • Breaking ‘Air’ Bad

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9gLqh8tmPA Ok, by Bryan Cranston. Love Breaking Bad? He ain’t promoting meth, but iPad Air 🙂

  • Time to Let Go

Bought in August 2012 when the new iPad was first made available in Malaysia, a.k.a iPad 3 as it is known now, for Retna, however she prefers her MacBook Air around for work, traveling, leisure etc.  I took over it from her in October 2012, I used it for work, but I never travel with it.  Again, I also had a MacBook Air with me for work.  So I left this little nice baby at office, most of the time. Our daughter used it for a while, mainly for games, but she inherited my first generation iPad, which she is happily using it now. So, again, the iPad 3 became…

  • Meeting Surface @ MobileFest December Christmas Meet

I remember RIM, the maker of RIM mentioned that it is focusing on the enterprise users with BB10, probably there is where the money is, guess Microsoft is heading there with its Surface, the first tablet made by Microsoft. I forgot to check with Dr. Jim Loi, the owner of Surface, whether it is a RT or Windows 8 Pro that he got. First impression, it is compact, feels about the same weight as iPad.  But one thing which Microsoft has right, is the detachable screen cover and keyboard, which I am thinking how come none of the iPad manufacturer has thought of this for the iPad, iPad Mini?  Or…

  • Gonna Pass The Purchase of iPad Mini

Yep, Apple has announced the latest iPad Mini in its not so mini event. The iPad Mini has so many leaked images, probably one of the most insider product pictures ever been circulated in Apple history prior to the availability of the product.  The iPad Mini looks exactly the same as what have been widely shown on all the sites and blogs in China, US and every where else in the world. Do you like it? You actually have many reasons to like and dislike it.

  • Marketing of Parent’s Day

Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are coming soon.  One does not need the calendar to tell you that.  Just flip the newspapers, online ads etc, you would know they are coming.  This is one of the season of marketing, and the other major one would be Christmas. I remember most of the ads would be focusing on the guilt of the children, not spending enough of money, time with parents.  The best way to compensate that, is to buy them something, which they need, or do not need. I always tell myself as well as our children that I do not need to wait until Mother’s Day to take my…
