• #GE14

The people has spoken, chosen the new administrator for the nation, on the historic May 9, 2018 general election of Malaysia.  The result was announced from May 9 till May 10.  Most Malaysian would have stayed close to the telly from May 9 to 10.  Me and Retna included.  The Singaporean media like Channel News Asia was producing some serious good quality news reporting. Then the whole Malaysian waited for the new administration, swearing in of the new prime minister.  We watched that with major anticipation, as the time kept delaying, of course finally the whole process was done, more announcements from the new prime minister. #GE14 let everyone see…

  • Getting to know the candidates, part II #GE14

I added the column on messages, which I could find from the candidates or through the interviews they have given to the media. For some, I still could not get much, but roughly, I get to know more about the candidates. Toh Sin Wah – A rather long and kind of confusing messages or tagline from Mr. Toh.  Malaysians must repent, rethink, refresh and reform to truly achieve 1Malaysia.  I am no expert in politic, 1Malaysia is a generic term used by prime minister and his cabinet, no?  We have drafted speeches for the ministers, with Salam 1Malaysia.  Ok, maybe Mr. Toh thinks we are not really there as…

Toh Sin Wah – Actually nothing much to know about him.  Found his LinkedIn, but nothing there, found many of his YouTube videos, which sadly, lacking in messages to tell who he is, what he has been doing, why he is going for GE14 as an independent candidate.  He is a CEO of a company known as Network Press, a printing company.  He participated in the GE13, which came in last in terms…

When fetching the two boys back earlier, a group of tuition centre aide were distributing the tuition centre flyers and shall comment on one of them that caught my attention.  Actually, I find it rather funny to read. This is how the flyer looks like.    Now, let’s look at the interesting part.   After going through the flyer, most parents might restraint their children to attend tuition at this particular centre.  Reasons being:- Mixed language or unable to differentiate – for Malay language, English is Inggeris, Mathematics is Matematik, Science is Sains No point sending the children there, as everything begin with B instead of aiming for A Have…
