Covid-19, politics, slow economy… Yes, we are still looking to hire people for our company. One interesting question asked by some candidates whom contacted us through email, “Just about 18 years old PR company,” “Started in 2002, wait, how many years old is your company?” As you can see, we are taking our time in hiring the right candidates. Our industry is highly competitive and ever changing. Team members who lack the desired to learn and enhance their skills, generally would not last long in our company, more so the industry.

  • Food haven, Subang Jaya

Julia met her biological mother during Chinese New Year, and on the way home, we went over to Mei Sek Subang Jaya for brunch. Mei Sek is always heavily patronised with no table available. And, no one is there to direct the traffic for seats. So you are on your own. However, being Malaysian, we will always ask politely, “Can we share the table with you?” A nice family of three offered us the seats. They asked if I am Japanese or Korean, I said, “Chinese,” “Oh, you from Singapore?” she asked. “Malaysian Chinese, born here.” I smiled. That was how the conversation started with then the family told us…

  • I wish I could explore more.

I took a train with no particular direction, as I had about an hour to spare. Instead of the regular places that I would walk to, explore, I decided to randomly hop on a train, and explore the places which I could see and visit, in that one hour. So I came off the station at PPR Kampung Muhibbah. BTW, PPR stands for Program Perumahan Rakyat. From what I remember, when my father enquired with the city council about renting a unit when we were about to be chased out by the land lord at our old flat, due to my parents unable to pay the monthly rent. I overheard…

  • I joined #LuBikin stool stringing workshop by Kedai Bikin

I love to learn new things. I followed #Musotree on Instagram, as well as Kerol, the owner of the travel lifestyle magazine, and through the algorithm of Instagram (and Facebook), I also discovered Kedai Bikin. Saw it’s workshop series 02 – LU BIKIN SENDIRI, stringing workshop, and signed up, for RM325 per session. Before we get into the stringing workshop, we have similar string furnitures at my family flat, for some years. I think the plastic string is bouncy to sit on, and of course to sleep on with the lazy chair design. I also remember my grandparents houses in Ipoh & Bukit Mertajam also had string furnitures, with my…

  • Leaf-ing

Participated in special preview of Nissan LEAF for Electric Vehicles Club Malaysia two weeks back. I attended due to my curiosity of the electric car, wanted to know the practicality as well as feasibility. I enjoyed the session hosted by Edaran Tan Chong Motors team as well as meeting people who are the experts of electric cars. I have chatted with many in the group, it is good to meet the people in person. Also, I know very little about electric cars.  So, this post here, are my opinions about LEAF. 1) I do not like Nissan, neither Tan Chong, though I am also a Tan myself, I would not tell you…

  • IGOR

Retna introduced me to Tyler, the Creator. Elijah reinforced Tyler, the Creator music into me. Retna, later makes me to pay even more attention to Tyler, the Creator even more, when she shown me his performance on Tiny Desk by NPR. The charisma of Tyler, the Creator is amazing. With the many millions views on his performance at Tiny Desk, I guess many people like his music. I would say I was not totally convinced when I first heard Flower Boy. More so, Retna and Elijah have been showing more of Golf, Tyler the Creator’s fashion line. Once Retna told me she was disappointed that the Converse shoes designed by…

  • French Cars, Hate and Love Relationship

I love our French cars, so much that I have written about them many times. I even asked and then shared with many Citroen lovers out there on a forum posting, which I believe was the highest in terms of page view. We got our first Citroen or French car in 2009, before our dear Inez came to this world. We learn from our previous parenthood experience that we needed some space in the car, when we have a baby. The need to pack day use cloths, stroller, easy snacks etc when you have a baby. More so, we had a helper with us that time. So a car with…
