• French Cars, Hate and Love Relationship

I love our French cars, so much that I have written about them many times. I even asked and then shared with many Citroen lovers out there on a forum posting, which I believe was the highest in terms of page view. We got our first Citroen or French car in 2009, before our dear Inez came to this world. We learn from our previous parenthood experience that we needed some space in the car, when we have a baby. The need to pack day use cloths, stroller, easy snacks etc when you have a baby. More so, we had a helper with us that time. So a car with…

  • Loving Citroen

The very first time we bought a Citroen was in 2009, when we needed a true family car to usher the arrival of our daughter – Inez.  So we went shopping for the right family car, and after some months, we booked Citroen Grand C4 Picasso from Brooklands Motor Sdn Bhd, which was located at Jalan Chow Sow Lin, a really large showroom and service centre. In the next 3-4 years, so many things happened to Brooklands Motor, you can read about it, here and here.

  • Great Car, With Services To Be Desired (Much)

A compact car, is highly suitable for the city usage.  We are working in a sub urban area while many meetings and media events are being held in city centre.  So having a car which we could move about, is crucial. Deciding on the car was easy, not to get any Japanese, Malaysia nor Korean. Locked down some models – French, German and in fact quite a few Germans.  However, went with French instead. This was where the decision could have been re-routed, if given a choice.

  • Overheated, Frustrated, Annoyed

Barely reaching half a month, the beloved new fleet Peugeot 208 was hit by overheated issue. Started the car and planned to head to Dataran Merdeka to collect my OCBC Cycle Malaysia race kit, ended up with a message “Engine temperature fault, stop the vehicle”.  Well, there went the plan to drive the new fleet to town.

  • Funny how Citroen [Naza] still does not get it

I have been a fan of Citroen in the 90s.  When Retna and I were thinking about our first car together as couple – the choice was Citroen. Why? Her previous boss was a big fan of Citroen, her whole family was driving Citroen.  She told us that it is a reliable car, a car that delivers wonderful driving pleasure.  And safety too.  However, she warned Retna on the maintenance.  It is rather hard to have the authorised dealer (that time DRB-HICOM) to maintain the car well, also the parts were rather expensive.  The outside mechanics with good Citroen knowledge, not that many.

  • 1st Step to World Premium French Auto, Fails

After several months of anticipating, here I am.  Finally, at a brand new Citroen new authorised sales and service, owned by NAZA Euro.  I have been thinking about whether or not to send our beloved Citroen here, or just like some other Citroen owners, to whoever were formerly with Brooklands Motors and DRB-HICOM, now setting up their own workshop, handling brands from PSA.

  • After a long silence, Naza Euro aka Citroen Malaysia has responded on the status of DS3

Let’s just ignore the part about Retna is buying this car for her dear husband. We have been asking Naza Euro aka Citroen Malaysia for some months since the first DS3 spotted at Brooklands Motors.  However no response or whatsoever from the company.  The only DS3 1.3HP has been snapped up God knows who from Brooklands Motors, but it is a manual model, which is not to what my wife liking. Well, looks like this beautiful 2 door baby is coming to Malaysia, real soon.

  • When you are big, your head is even bigger

What’s really in the head when one has achieved where he or she wanted to be?  Get better?  Or otherwise? Had a meeting in Glenmarie today and decided to visit the new Citroen sales and service center located at Glenmarie. At a glance, it is a really not as big as the Brooklands Motors which was located at Jalan Chow Sow Lin.  According to the news report, the service center has 8 service bays, which I remember the last service center at Petaling Jaya with about 10 or 12, perhaps more, because combined with SsangYong. The ID is white, and a wall with supposedly Citroen DS wall of fame, with…
