• Night, Puchong

After dinner, while waiting for Inez from her ballet class, I walked about, with my Leica.  Just to put what I have learn from sifus such as Mathias Heng, Fulvio Bugani and Izwan Ismail into practice. I have taken pictures of the same place before, but that time I was experimenting the Leica. This time, I came with some ideas of what I wanted to capture.  Love the results. I edited the pictures a bit using the Lightroom on my iPad Pro. I think it is great to view Puchong at night, from different perspective. When it comes to Puchong, often many would think of it as messy, jam, food…

  • Day Trip. Ipoh.

The trip was short, less than 5 hours in Ipoh, and we were out. We were there for Ayam Brand. During lunch, I walked about the area where we were at, Jalan Sambanthan, kind of historic. I was mistaken as Korean and then Japanese during the walk about. The owners of the shops were happy to see me.  Perhaps I was holding a camera. I spoke to some, but some I did not. I spoken to the kids of the homes participated in Ayam Brand campaign, asked about whether I could take pictures of them, they agreed. All pictures taken on LEICA, with manual mode.

  • Walking with Leica at night in Bandar Puchong Jaya.

Our dear daughter has the ballet class at night, for an hour of waiting, instead of like most of the parents would do – waiting at the cafe or the ballet school with their phones, I chose to walk about, to digest the dinner I just had with Inez.  Better still, I brought the Leica along, as well as Fleet Foxes, streamed wirelessly on the bluetooth earphones. I talked to the helper at the food trucks before taking these pictures, as I think street photography should be given utmost care in terms of people privacy.  No one should be photographed without knowing that they are. I walked to the food…

  • Leica D-LUX.

Somethings happened by chance, just like us meeting Leica, and then owning one, and love using it.  We attended a customer dinner hosted by the bank, while many things there were from Germany, including the BMW, handbags, luxury products etc, not many visited Leica, so we did, since I love taking photographs.  The product specialist shown us a few cameras for us to try on, while I love the DSLR type, I am not prepared to spend above RM15k on a camera, just yet. So I arranged with the Leica Malaysia team to order D-LUX, which is a portable, non changeable lens digital camera. Took some weeks for the camera…

  • Things to do at night to clear my head

Thursday night, after a long and stressful day at work, I decided to head out for a walk about while waiting for Inez to finish her ballet class. So, I ended up at the new overhead bridge of Puchong Jaya LRT station.  I tested the longer exposure, and the result – so great! I just need to improve the noise reduction as well as clarity of the static objects, if such things exist.

  • Leica

Two weeks ago, we attended a dinner hosted by OCBC Premier Banking, and many OCBC partners were there to showcase their services and products.  The most talk about – none other than the BMW i8, which was on exhibit for the customers to take picture with.  I did not.  I dislike BMW. We visited Leica booth, which showcased pictures which tell stories about the places, people, issues etc.  A gentlemen from Leica then shown me some of the Leica camera models, which I have heard of, but never try before.  I tried the higher end model as well as the compact models. The gent called Haniff was going through the…
